1. What do I do to call for help ?

Press and hold the large Emergency button on top of the unit or, press and hold the button on either the neck pendant or wristwatch unit.

2. I made a mistake, how do I stop the alarm ?

Press the Clear button to stop the alarm.

If you press  the Clear button right away after accidentally activating the alarm, it will stop the reporting of the alarm to the central station.

If you press the Clear button while it is reporting to the central station, it will automatically send a cancel signal to the central station. They will then abort the false alarm.

3. The Sending indicator is flashing, what does that mean ?

When the sending indicator flashes, your system is communicating with the central station.

4. What happens when the central station gets an alarm report from my system ?

Depending on how your contact telephone numbers were set up upon your initial signup, the central station operator will call a nurse station, an attendant, your premise number or anyone else that you have designated. You have control over whom you want contacted.

If you designated a nurse station, an attendant, or some other person, the central station will inform your designated person about your medical alarm. It will then be up to that person to decide if the central station should dispatch the medical authorities.

If you designated your premise number to be called, then anyone there including yourself will have the choice to decide if the central station should dispatch the medical authorities.

If you have 2-Way Voice on your system, the central station operator will first turn on the 2-way communication and will attempt to communicate with you to ascertain the situation. You will be able to speak to the central station operator if you can speak. If there is no response from anyone, then the medical authorities will be dispatched.

5. What is this 2-Way Voice that I have on my system ?

If you chose to have the 2-Way Voice option installed in your system, you will have the ability to hear and speak with the central station operator after the system calls in to the central station. The central station operator will initiate the system voice communication.
